As we become increasingly aware of the effect we have on the environment, there is an ever-growing interest in the idea of green and eco-friendly weddings. At first, the idea might seem difficult or suggest a toned down event, but low waste weddings don’t have to be low-key! Our shoot with Save the Date Magazine and Tess Viera Photography proved you can create a day full of ethical elegance and support some brilliant sustainable suppliers in the process.
The olive greens of the flowers combined with wooden signage and more natural hair and make up create the perfect earthy feel to the shoot. The White Hart sits in a beautiful area of British countryside, the perfect back drop for a shoot dedicated to protecting our planet.
There are many changes, big and small, that you can make to be more environmentally friendly on your wedding day. You can use wooden signage instead of plastic, compost your flowers, use biodegradable confetti. Bigger changes could be to reduce the use of transport on the day or choose not to send paper invitations.
Take a look below for a list of eco-conscious suppliers who helped create this photoshoot. They might be able to help you find a way to reduce the carbon foot-print of your day.
