Fall In Love With Winter Weddings

The festive season is upon us!

Whether you like it or not it’s the time of year that we’re hounded with pictures of cosy rooms and beautifully decorated coffee shops. For 25 days a year Pinterest and fairy lights take over – if you’re like us then that certainly is not a bad thing.

Who can really say no to mulled wine, christmas trees and scented candles? All in symphony with an elegant dusting of frost gently icing the country lanes. It’s the season where everyone is brought together drinking hot chocolate and playing corny games whilst binging on classic Christmas films. The cheer and festivity are unavoidable.

So what could be more perfect than spending the most special day of your life around all your friends and family, relishing in all the cosy-loveliness that is the winter season? The crisp golden leaves and the bright fresh sunshine make the perfect backdrop for your ever important wedding photos.

Beautiful wreaths and the warm festive fairy lights. The snow dashed winter garnishes draping the ceiling. Tall golden candelabras and eloquent Christmas trees with delicate golden trinkets, all making your reception or ceremony room completely unique. An unrivalled atmosphere and more special than you could ever imagine.

If your first thoughts are about the cold – we’re never safe with weather in the UK. We get torrential rain in June! Your mulled wine welcome drinks will solve that, giving everyone a festive lift and offers a really individual addition to your wedding day. Besides your groomsmen will probably be grateful of your winter wedding whilst in their 5 layered suits with not a droplet of sweat in sight, especially when they’re still immaculate and dominating the dance floor in the evening.

Last Thursday at The White Hart Inn we held a wedding open evening exhibiting our function room in a Winter Wonderland theme, beautifully dressed by Keith Woods Entertainment. With our ideal location in the Derbyshire countryside it fit perfectly with the theme. The rolling fields and country lanes enable an exclusive and whimsical charm.

The evening was set to inspire the possibilities for couples with their winter wedding. The room was layered with lavish golden tones and deluxe decoration, it really captured the sense of luxury and the richness of the winter season. We had a lot of fun setting up all the Christmas attire and making the room the showcase that it was.

It was a great day and evening for us and everyone who visited. We do still have a few dates left in 2017 but they are filling fast so do get in touch.

Everyone in the weddings team would like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas!
